Who: Karen grew up in a small Americana “river town” on the Juniata River in rural Pennyslvania running the hills and swinging on monkey vines like “Huckfina.” She has never lost her sense of wonder of the natural world and the intricacies of humanity.

What: Karen facilitates The WordShop, a professional writing and marketing business, which offers an array of writing and marketing services, including creative writing “wordshops” and online coaching.

In Bavaria on the trip of a lifetime.

Credentials: Bachelor of Humanities in Multi-Media Journalism, Literature, and Marketing from Penn State; Master of Fine Arts in Writing (2014 Fiction) from Spalding University’s brief-residency, international MFA program (rated Top Ten in the U.S. by Poets & Writers).  Award-winning performing songwriter, freelance writer, budding novelist, teacher, and former Public Relations Director.
